The high school track season wrapped up on June 2 and 3 at the California State Meet. Athletes qualified by finishing their event in the top three at the NCS Meet of Champions held at UC Berkeley on May 26 and 27. Several local athletes had top performances.
Sophia Llamas placed 13th in girls 400 meters, Jake Heinlein, 8th in boys 400 meters and Noah Hurley, 2nd in boys pole vault.
Amy Christensen, 5th in pole vault and 7th in girls 100 hurdles; Peter Michiels, 2nd in men’s high jump, 12th in men’s 110 hurdles and Julia Hagedorn, 12th in girls 400 meters.
Marissa D’Atri placed 3rd in girls 800 meters and Jenna Coffman, 17th in girls triple jump.
Brandon Abon, Anthony Lowe, Cameron Reynolds and Javier Balderamos placed1st in the 4x100 meter relay; Anthony Lowe, Cameron Reynolds, James Ward and Justin Lowe placed 3rd in the 4 x 400 meter relay; Aidan Jackman, 2nd in 110 hurdles; Anthony Lowe, 2nd in 400 meters; Brandon Abon, 5th in 100 meters; Aidan Jackman, 5th in 300 hurdles and 5th in high jump; Cameron Reynoldsm, 3rd in 200 meters; Daylon Hicks, 3rd in high jump; Aidan Jackman, 5th in boys high jump; Jason Rogers, 11th in boys pole vault; Francis Jordan, 22nd in boys long jump; Jeffery Williams, 5th in shot put and1st in discus and Jack Fouts, 12th in discus.
