"Above the Fray" at PH City Hall

Aug 30, 2015 09:51AM ● By Jennifer Neys
Above The Fray is a first of its kind program, proactively addressing the numerous issues young people face online, like sexting, social media, cyberbullying, gaming, and more. The goal is to educate parents and teachers about what life is really like online for young people, and to give adults the tools they need to begin meaningful dialogues at home and at school.

The program is based largely on the startling findings from Above The Fray youth focus groups, led by PhD Shawna Malvini Redden. The program teaches parents what it’s truly like for young people right now in the cyber trenches; how it’s affecting their minds and bodies and real solutions to parents that will help keep children safe.

This event is on Thursday, September 24 at 7pm and is free to the general public.
