Las Lomas High School Invitational Jazz Concert

with guests Las Lomas Chorale

This concert will feature the Chorale singing two jazz standards, including A Nightingale Sang In Berkley Square, as well as some gospel music. This will be the Chorale’s second performance of the year, the first being a classical concert. We are delighted to be able to share the evening with them, as this is a great way for us to foreshadow our Big Band Dance in March. The Jazz Band will be playing both swing and Latin music, and will feature many soloists. On our set, many people will recognize Night Train´ which appeared in many James Brown concerts and even in Back to the Future. Charleston swing is the style of that piece, and it really swings. We will also play a tune Ellington made famous with Clark Terry, titled Perdido. This is going to be a great evening! All concerts are held at Las Lomas High School Theater, 7:30 pm
