Beethoven Mass in C, Diablo Symphony Orchestra

Categorized as: Nightlife & Entertainment
Event tags: Concert, choir

The Diablo Symphony Orchestra will perform “Beethoven Mass In C” at 3:30 pm on Sunday February 11th, Walnut Creek Presbyterian Church, 1801 Lacassie Ave, Walnut Creek. Adult tickets are $35 for general admission (no senior discounts; discount ticket types are available for Youth 17 and under, and Children 12 and under).

This concert takes us around the globe! Bay Area composer Jean Ahn’s work, based on a Korean farming song, starts our journey. We explore the caves off the coast of Scotland with Mendelssohn, and finish with Beethoven’s stunning but underappreciated Mass in C. The concert features guest soloists Rebecca Garcia, Betany Coffland, Michael Dailey, and Kirk Eichelberger, as well as the choirs of Chromatica, CSU East Bay and San Ramon Valley High School.
