Lecture: Europe in the 17th Century
Travel back to 17th Century Europe, beginning with the Thirty Years War and the reordering of European politics, then move forward to the English Civil War and the results in 1688. Continue on to Louis XVI and France as the greatest power in Europe and end with France and England fighting for supremacy in Colonial affairs. This is the century of scientific discoveries and the beginning of modern science. Led by Gay Joyce, MA who taught Western Civilization and US History for over 30 years. She is a member of the American Historical Society and the National Association of Scholars.
