I am an attorney with over ten years experience in the estate and trust field. In addition to estate planning, I assist clients with probate and trust administration.
My philosophy on probate and trust administration is best stated as "Effective Trust and Probate Administration requires a transparent and efficient administration with the goal of closing the estate or trust as quickly as possible and at the lowest cost to beneficiaries while preserving their interest in the estate or trust."
I am a Contra Costa County native, and a second generation native to the San Francisco bay area. I received by B.A. degree from San Francisco State University. I received my J.D. (Law) Degree from McGeorge University (part of the University of Pacific System) where I graduated Dean's Honor Roll
Licensed to practice law in 2004, I have been an active member of the California State Bar since. Previously working for a small firm in Menlo Park, I opened my own practice in Pleasant Hill in 2014. My legal career focused primarily (over 75%) on estate and trust matters. I've handled estates of all shapes and sizes.
Many of my estates were "problem children" involving title issues (Who owns the property?), potentially defective wills and trusts (What do you do when all the witnesses to a will are dead?), estates involving faulty divorces (So, Dad never divorced his first wife, does she still get a share?), failure to transfer property into a trust (Do I really need to probate that pour over will?), heirship petitions (Our parents raised Mom's brother's son as their own, is he an heir?), stale estates (Mom died five years ago, we never started a probate, how do we sell her house?), and wayward trustees (My Brother became trustee after Dad's death and now, three years later, where is the money?).
I am ready to put my knowledge to work for you.
