SMALL TALK WITH TERI By Teri Norbye
Meet Larin Borden, who lives in Martinez with her family. She recently graduated from College Park High School and will attend San Francisco State University in the fall.
What are you most excited and most nervous about in starting college? I’m excited for the new experiences that college provides as a fresh start somewhere new. I’m really nervous about the expense of college and living with people I don’t know.
What will your major be? I don’t have a major yet since I’m interested in so many areas, but I’m looking into a variety of fields such as finance and design. I am even taking classes such as astronomy and philosophy.
What will you miss the most and the least about high school? I think what I will miss the most is the security of having all your family and friends by your side. What I’ll miss the least is the attitude and lack of maturity of others.
Where do you see yourself in 5-10 years? I hope to see myself with a college degree and a stable job.
What are your plans for the rest of summer? Going on adventures with family and friends and preparing for college life.
