As summer winds down, thoughts turn toward making the most out of the last weeks of the season and heading back to school. Along with our fantastic monthly reads by Julie Ross, Maria Terry, Lesley Stiles, Paul Cotruvo, Michael Harris, Russ Carroll, Jim Bonato and Mayors Rob Schroder, Ken Carlson and Bob Simmons, we reflect on our 6 years in publication and offer a few school related articles for parents and students of all ages, including “Pearls of Wisdom” from college students, home for the summer, with their freshman year just under their belts. We welcome Lindsay Wildlife Experience back to the Focus with the first in a series of articles about living with wildlife, and highlight a National Energy Globe Award winner who invented and produces solar cookers that benefit families in Afghanistan. Read all these articles by scrolling down to the digital issue, or click on the titles below.
