"Hug a Tree" Family Hiking Safety Program at Borges Ranch

Jan 04, 2015 08:39PM ● Published by Jennifer Neys

Learn how to safely hike while exploring the Open Space during a special program hosted by Walnut Creek's Open Space Division.
The program will be Sunday, Feb. 1 at 2 p.m. at the Carriage Barn at Borges Ranch. There is a $2 donation requested, and reservations are required.
The Hug-A-Tree and Survive program is designed to tell a simple story that will teach children how to avoid getting lost, how to stay comfortable if they get lost, and how to be spotted and found.
Call Supervising Ranger Nancy Dollard, 925-943-5899 ext. 2135.
